Rediscovering Vacation Time With Your Family

In this fast-paced world, parents and children are craving more family time together, and studies show, they are looking to vacations to achieve that much needed togetherness. The new survey reveals the challenges and solutions families are finding to regain precious hours lost to hectic lifestyles.
More than 1,000 parents of children ages 5-17 were surveyed to unveil more surprising stats:
- 96 percent of Americans would give up the Internet, shopping, sleeping in, even coffee, for just one more hour with their kids every week!
- Out of 52 weeks a year, on average, parents admit they have only 15 free weekends and 13 percent have no free weekends.

- Quality time around eating meals together doubles when families are on vacation
- More than eight in 10 (82 percent) will take the same amount of, if not more, vacations in the next five years
- Families are placing a huge value on vacation time. Less than half of all family time at home is considered quality time but on vacation, that number jumps to 82 percent!
