House Fire Kills Three

(WLEX) Two adults and a child died in a fire in Wayne County overnight.
The fire was first reported at a home along KY-1009 around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, about 15 miles south of Monticello.
Firefighters say heavy smoke was pouring from the front of the house when they arrived, and flames were visible from the rear.
Officials say one person was declared dead at the scene, and an adult and a child were taken to the hospital, where they later died.
Firefighters cleared the scene around 5 a.m. Investigators with the Kentucky State Fire Marshal's Office and Kentucky State Police arson investigators remained at the home early Friday morning, trying to pinpoint the cause of the fire.
Officials have not released the names or ages of those killed.
