Inmate Faces More Jail Time For Threats

FORT WORTH - A state inmate, indicted in Amarillo, finds himself doing even more time - up to 20 years - for threatening a catastrophe at a federal courthouse and vowing harm to a judge and his family. 35-year-old Alan Van DeLaughter has been convicted in federal court of mailing a letter to the Dallas Morning News threatening a disaster to a court house in Fort Worth. Van DeLaughter also faces up to $500,000 in fines.
