Canyon And Follett Girls Advance To State Tournament

The Canyon Lady Eagles are headed back to the state tournament after clobbering Lubbock Cooper 56-28 Saturday night in the Class 3A Regional Final at United Spirit Arena In Lubbock. Earlier in the day, Follett and McLean squared off in the Class 1A Regional Final. Led by Shelbi Woods 30 points, Follett was able to beat McLean 72-55. Brittany Blau also contributed 19 points in the victory. Unfortunately the season came to an end for the Palo Duro Lady Dons in Saturdays 4A Regional Final. Palo Duro was eliminated by Plainview by a final score of 54-46. That means that two high plains teams will be making the trip to Austin next weekend and KAMR NBC 4 will be making the trip along with Canyon and Follett and will bring you all the highlights of the tournament.
