In Tuesday’s opener,
Chantel Pearson picked up the first victory of her college career, pitching five
strong innings. Junior infielder Erin Hartigan added a two-run double in the
winning effort.
During the night cap,
senior Andrea Renteria tossed six innings to improve her pitching record to 5-6
on the season. Junior Caitlin Schmidt connected on a
three-run home run, her fourth long ball of the
season.
