I was impressed with the information you gave on the news last night (2/09/09) on the scamming going on when someone places a classified ad.
As I reported to you earlier myself, the very same thing was happening to me although the scammer kept getting in touch with me to still except the check and todo the very same thing as the fellow you interviewed reported.
I even got a check sent through UPS which I was to sign for, but not knowing the sender, I did not accept the envelope.
Thanks for the report in getting the word out so everyone will be made aware of what is going on.
But they also need to know, that if they do accept checks or even cashier checks they MUST ALWAYS have them check by the bank to double check they are not a fraud. Keep up the good reporting, I love watching your station.
