Wednesday Evening
Good Wednesday evening everyone. The remnants of Hermine will continue to effect the Eastern Texas Panhandle throughout the overnight hours. However, it looks like the flooding potential will stay in Oklahoma. The tropical low will drift away from the area tomorrow, leaving sinking air aloft in its wake. As a result, the pleasant 70s will be replaced with the hot 90s. To add to the discomfort, westerly winds will commence on Friday, scouring out the low level moisture....kicking the daytime highs into the 90s area wide. With the downslope in place, wildfire dangers may be elevated in our western counties. But not to worry, a weak (dry) frontal boundary will slip in for the weekend, dropping temperatures back into the 80s. But it still is officially summer, so the low 90s may make a return for early next week.
